Volume LVII By Edgar T. Penguin April 2005
Easter Fun
This year the Easter bunny outdid himself by leaving wonderful Easter baskets for everyone!
There was a massive Easter Egg hunt, with eggs hidden both indoors and out. The egg hunt was a joint with the Iowa Bears, so there were even eggs hidden next door!
Easter diner was cooked by doggie and his volunteers: Moos, Sammy and myself. The ham was especially good, as were the pies which Doggie decorated with pie crust bunnies.
All-in-all, it was a wonderful Easter, which just proves that you don't need sunny weather to have a good day!

Fleas!
I have been asked to put a notice in the paper pertaining to the new alien disaster: fleas!
Oinkers had this to say "The aliens have contracted fleas from the stray cat during the rodeo. Be warned, fleas are contagious".
Currently the aliens are wearing collars and will soon be given a flea bath, so lets hope that fixes the problem!

Iowa Bears' New House!

Iowa Bear Relocate
Last month the Iowa Bears moved, but not to buffalo as was thought, instead they moved next door!
Joey's Mommy and her husband have split up, so she is now living with Joey's brother in the apartment next door. They seem quite happy in their new digs, and have been spending the last few weeks getting settled.
"I am really glad to be in my own house," said Boo Boo. "Of course, we appreciate all of the hospitality we were shown."
Of course, everyone misses having them here, but many bears are glad to get their rooms "back" and to not have to share anymore. And since they are just on the other side of the wall we are still seeing plenty of them!

Rodeo!
The first ever rodeo was held last month - and it was quite exng.
A stray cat was procured for the larger bears, but only hug-me had a chance to ride the ferocious beast before it escaped.
The only major incident was when Moogle escaped and attacked several spectators, but luckily no one was seriously injured.
when asked if there would be another rodeo next year, Ruby declined to comment.

St. Patrick's Day Party
The St. Patrick's Day party was quite a success this year.
It was not held in conjunction with the Iowa Bears as they had their own party in their own house, but many of them did stop by.
Spotty did an excellent job of decorating, my favorite decoration being the rainbow that ended in a pot full of chocolate gold!
Doggie and his volunteers also did an excellent job of providing treats, and the entertainment and games were superb! Everyone I talked to had a good time, and I know I did!
