To begin with, The Pigs not only beat the Avengers 7-6, but then proceeded to beat The Bears 5-5, making it three wins so far! Way ahead of their usual average! The Stars also have three wins, with victories last month against The Avengers (12 -7), The Chargers (9-5) and The Avengers again (11-10). The Chargers have won two games so far, as have The Avengers, while The Bears still have no victories yet. This is still anybodies championship, so I hope to see everyone at the games this month - they are every Saturday evening at 5pm!
The Oinkers web site has gone through many changes over the years - from it's first, sad attempt on Tripod, through two other servers and now to it's unbridled glory on 50 megs! For those of you who don't know where my website is, it is at http://www.oinkers.5u.com . It is always worth checking out, as I add lots of stuff to it all of the time. While I am at it, I would like to thank all of those who have helped contribute over the years, such as Bubbles and Edgar and even The-Short-One. Let's see if we can have a ten year anniversary!
There is a certain mean, bullying pig who thinks that by taking away my matches and pulling my ears he can somehow stop my natural ability to "Flame" - well, he is wrong! I can still Flame whenever I want - though, I have decided that I no longer feel like it. My spirit has been crushed by the enormous piggy that sat on me. I am waiting for a full apology, and I expect to receive it soon - or else I may feel like setting things on fire again!

Oinkers, the club president, has stated that it is a "members only" trip. "We have worked hard to raise the money to go, and it just would not be fair if everyone who did not help raise the money went to". of course, he also said that any non-members who could pay their own way were welcome to come. The club will meet at 6am on the deck, and head to the bus station from there. the bus leaves at 7 am, and should be in Jefferson City's teddy Town by 11 o'clock. Everyone is advised to bring a sack lunch, or else money to buy their own food. While this is a pleasure trip, the clubs main agenda is to go to the Teddy State Capitol building and "demand some answers" from the teddy politicians. Hopefully their trip will be not only a success but also a lot of fun!
The matches are being organized by Sammy, Atlas and Apollo and will probably include the Iowa bears' wrestlers as well. This first match is scheduled for next Saturday at 3pm on the deck, where the ring will be set up. Sammy would like to invite all wrestlers to participate, but asks that only train wrestlers enter so that their are no mishaps. Hope to see everyone there!

Thrills and chills ensued as the two master boatmen zoomed across the water. there was some mid-race excitement as a steering error lead to the two boats crashing in to each other! No one was hurt, and the damage to the boats was only minimal, so the race continued. In the end, Orange Ducky, who walked away with the win, had this to say "I was glad to see that everyone turned out for our fine exhibition! Hopefully they'll come back to see me win again - as soon as my boat has been fixed." Hopefully the two will have their boats back up soon, so we can go watch another spectacular race!
There will be a bar-b-que held on the deck while al of the people are in town for the fireworks. Andy is planning on having hamburgers and grilled chicken, along with potato salad, cold slaw, baked beans, watermelon and a strawberry freeze salad. After the bar-b-que Booy and his assistants (still needing volunteers) will light off the fireworks that are left for our yearly fireworks show. This year, Booy will have a fire extinguisher with him to prevent accidents. After the fireworks will be a Fourth of July campout, so get your tents set up while it is still daylight and come have some fun! Hope to see everybody there!
