Volume LXVI By Edgar T. Penguin January 2006
Sled Race Fiasco
The first annual sled race turned out to be a bit different than originally anticipated.
To begin with, there was no snow, only mud, and so racers were forced to try to navigate their way down hill and through rather thick mud. Many racers did not even finish the race, getting bogged down instead in the slop.
First place went to Little Tweet who credits her win to the vegetable spray she sprayed on her sled runners. Second place was taken by Booy, and third by Sir-laugh-a-lot.
It is not clear if there will be a sled race next year or not. If the present weather repeats itself there will be no point!

School Play Success
The school's Christmas rendition of "Peter Pan" was quite a success!
There were many participants from both our household and from the bears next door, mixed in with many friends form school.
Local critic, oinkers had this to say, "it was.. Interesting. Bubbles was fantastic as an Indian but Captain Hook was... terribly... inventive."
Hopefully next year's play will go as well!

Horrible Harrys!

Bitey Hary, Hilmina & Evil Harry

New Harrys!
This Christmas brought both joy and tragedy - joy in the form of brightly wrapped presents, and terror in the form of three new Harrys!
Hilmina and Evil Harry are the newest residents of our household, and they are wicked indeed! Their favorite pass time so far seems to be biting anyone whom they can catch!
Bitey Harry, who is just as evil, is luckily living with the bears next door, where he is also waging a campaign of biting and chewing.
Why are there three more Harrys? No one can guess why Joey's mother felt the need to create more, but what ever her reasons they are here to stay - and everyone is advised to stay clear of their sharp teeth!

Christmas Fun
despite the horrible appearance of three new Harrys and no snow in sight, Christmas was still a fun time.
The Christmas eve party went quite well, and a variety of holiday themed movies were watched, some which the newest bears in the house had never seen before.
Christmas morning found everyone beneath the Christmas tree opening their presents, and most got exactly what they were hoping for.
This special Holiday may be over now, but it will live forever in our hearts!

New Years Party
The new year's party will be on New Year's eve night and should start about nine o'clock.
There will be games and snack food, provided by Doggie, Andy and Natasha, and of course a New years movie.
Booy has kindly donated his left over fireworks from the fourth of July so that everyone can go outside and light some off at midnight!
Hope to see everyone there - and have a happy new year!
