Holiday Greetings my friends! There is quite a lot to report, but I will start by telling you I have made 3 new web sets! Spiderwebs (made by request), Denim, and Icy Snow! They are all worth a look, and of course are free to download! If you have a request for a web set or anything else, please e-mail me and I will try to make it!
Now for the horrible news - Feanor has been replaced! That's right, a new alien, Nermal, has come into our home! Woe is me, I thought that we were done dealing with new aliens, but I was wrong. Nermal is a small gray striped fuzz ball that is smelly and slightly disgusting. I also think she may be related to the late Feanor as they have quite a few things in common such as her trying to use the computer! There is also a definite intelligence - or lack of - similarity between the two of them. Where did Nermal come from? Well, as you may know there is a large herd of stray aliens that live outside (The-Short-One heard from the lady in the house next to our building that there are 25 of them). Anyway, Nermal was one of these stray aliens that The-Short-One had been feeding outside. Charlie is actually the one who brought the alien in the house; The-Short-One was planning on getting her cat from her Dad's house in Iowa (the place with all the cats
that I have been attacked at), but since Charlie obviously wanted to keep Nermal, she called her dad back and he is keeping the other evil alien and we now have a tiny, smelly, fur ball! General Moogle does not like this tiny Intelligence Officer either; in fact they have been getting into loud fights! I wonder if there is dissention in their ranks? Perhaps Muffins didn't think they needed a new intelligence officer as I don't know whether that last one (Feanor) actually uncovered anything. Hmmmmm......
Speaking of cats, Ruby is working on having the Rodeo after the New Year, as there is now a problem - there is no cat for the bigger bears to ride! The new cat is too small, of course, as is Shelob the alien Queen and Muffins the alien general. Feanor was the only one big enough, being twice the size of any of the other cats. I don't know what Ruby is going to do about it, but I refuse to help insanity - riding an alien, whoever heard of such a thing?
Well, we had a very strange Thanksgiving! Eggbert, as you know from my last entry, had an objection to the turkey shape of the turkey, so Andy, Natasha and Doggie ended up making a mysterious "Turkey-loaf". Well, when word got round that Eggbert was objecting everyone else started objecting to things too! Spud threw a fit about the mashed potatoes (though Spud is really an Easter Egg and not a potato so I don't know why he cares - though I suppose it is due to his identity crisis) so we had mashed yams instead, which are good, but not so good with gravy - yech! Then prissy started objecting to the ham - even though it is not real ham, and I find no objection to it, so of course we didn't have ham. Then carrots demanded a large portion of glazed carrots and Mouse wanted cheesy potatoes, which we could not have due to Spud's objections. Crabby had a fit about the imitation crab dip to be served as an appetizer, and Baby Rexy broke into the kitchen the night before and ate al the crackers anyway.
Anyway, as you can see it was insane! Then after dinner Clownie decided that this year we should embrace the Native American culture without which there would have been no Thanksgiving, so he forced us to watch several "Indian Movies". We watched "Last of the Mohicans" (the old Disney version), "Dream Keeper", which is full of old Indian legends, and "Fort Apache" with john Wayne which really did not turn out to be what Clownie thought it was. I guess that will teach him to read the synopsizes on movies before showing them! Charlie and The-Short-One were gone all day - till 5 in the morning - so they missed all of our festivities. I heard that The-Short-One and The-Scruffy-Guy got in a fight, but I don't know what about or anything. no one ever tells me anything!
On Friday and Saturday we decorated the house for Christmas and I must say it looks quite nice! Charlie was as scroogy about it as usual; I don't understand how he can dislike Christmas decorating! I have gotten my various hidden presents wrapped, and they all look quite nice. The-Short-One has bought some weird wrapping paper this year that looks like it is from 1950 or something. It is very strange stuff, but it is also very thick, so it leaves me torn because it is the best quality so it stretches the best when wrapping, but it is so ugly....
Hopefully The-Special-Extended-Edition of The return of the King will be out soon! I keep waiting for it and it just keeps not happening. The other two special editions were out in November, so I don't know why this one is taking so very long! But, if it ever comes out we will have our third and final "Special-Extended-Edition-Slumber Party". It's too bad that there are no more movies to look forward to! It just shows how fast time passes, I never thought the third one would get here and now it's been nearly a year since it was released, how time flies!
What else has been going on around here? Let me see... Bubbles has decided that asking questions at school will not get him any answers in his quest to discover the order to the teddy Government. I am very proud of him and glad that he is finally leaving it alone before he ends up in real trouble! Sonnett and Easter are planning a Christmas Concert for everyone, though why I was not asked to help I don't know. They probably figured I was very busy, what with my Christmas card workshop and all of the other things I am doing, like my calendars. I am making calendars to sell this year for a little extra pocket money. Back to the show, Spud and Socks are working on a new rap song and Acorn and
Little Tweet are going to play a folk Christmas song or two. I am sure it shall turn out to be an interesting show.
Well, I suppose I had best go and start addressing all of my Christmas cards!
Happy Holidays,
O
Here is the replacement Intelligence Officer, Nermal.
here is part of our strange dinner. The turkey loaf surrounded by mashed yams, gravey, dinner rolls, glazed carrots, fruit salad and cheese.
