Winter greetings, my friends! Though the weather here has not been wintery. We had a tiny bit of snow last week, which only lasted for a couple of days and since then it has been rain, rain, rain. The whole area is flooded, and from what I hear many roads are impassible. Then on Wednesday night there was a tornado (not here, but close by) that tore up a lot of stuff I guess. I think it is the tsunami that has messed up our weather!
To begin with, I have made Seven New Garlands for February! They are certainly worth checking out.
The evil alien has been acting very strange this last week - she has been murring and burring and making pigeon noises, not to mention she has been rubbing up against anyone or thing that will stand still - including me! The-Short-One says that Nermal needs to get "fixed". I remember a similar incident with Muffins a year or two ago, and I am not sure that fixing Nermal is a good idea.
School has started back up from Christmas vacation and so far Bubbles has been behaving - at least in school! He has started a letter campaign writing to every Teddy politician he can find and demanding answers to his questions. I have been helping him write letters and address them, though he is using his allowance money to pay for the stamps. So far he has gotten the addresses out of the Southern Missouri Teddy Telephone Book, but strangely enough there are no phone numbers or addresses for a national government. Bubbles has called the post Office to try to get addresses but has so far been unsuccessful. I must admit I am beginning to wonder myself why it is kept such a secret.
We had our 12-hour Lord of the Rings movie marathon and it went quite well. We had little smokies and various sauces during "Fellowship", salsa and chips during "Two Towers" and Pizza during "Return of the King", though we had to pause the movie for awhile so that Doggie and co could make all the pizzas. I am also glad to report that there were no fist fights; not even a raised voice as by the time the movies were over everyone was too tired to argue! We had a bit f a debate the next day about all of the changes to the story line in the movies, but no one felt the need to punch anyone!
Ruby is planning her rodeo for the first week in March. She is hoping to coral one of the stray cats from outdoors to substitute for Feanor, an now that we have Nermal she is going to assign the tiny bears, like Butterscotch, to Nermal: so that when they fall off they won't have as far to fall - that is my opinion on it anyway. Ruby is thinking about doing it in a sort of Saint Patrick's theme and making everyone dress in green, but I don't think that she will in the end as it is not a very popular idea.
Spotty and Batty have joined forces with Ruff and Sherlock in an effort to solve the newest mystery. It seems that someone has been going into the kitchen very late at night and cooking themselves treats and then leaving the mess! Doggie, Natasha and Andy are quite upset about this, as they always have to clean it up before they can cook breakfast. Spotty and Batty tried to have a stakeout, but the culprit waits until they have given up and then there is the mess again the next morning. Now that they have four detectives working on the case they are going to take turns staying up so that they can each get some sleep and still hopefully catch whoever is doing it. Doggie is threatening to padlock the kitchen if the culprit is not caught soon!
On the day when we had some snow we did manage to get some sledding done, which I was quite happy about as I have been wanting to go sledding since November. Bubbles and I tried to build a snowbear but there wasn't enough snow for that so we gave it up, but I enjoyed it anyway.
Well, that is about all that is going on around here, so I will go and get this uploaded.
