Hello friends! It is almost Valentines day... only three days left till I will be drown in pink hearts, red streamers and chocolate. Actually the chocolate part wouldn't be too bad... I haven't had a chance to make anything new these two weeks because the-Slobby-Brother-Like-Person has been attached to our computer the whole time. The-Short-One hurt herself somehow and so she can't type, so the Slobby-brother-like-person comes over and spends all night doing her typing for her. Actually he mainly spends it doing what he wants while she lays on the couch and yells at him to just do this or that. It's really a very annoying situation! Luckily she is starting to get better, so I hear. She actually managed to do some sweeping today >gasp As you can tell we did not get the terribly predicted ice storm, though we are supposed to get snow soon, so we'll see. I no longer trust the electricity to actually stay on and it is making me paranoid. In fact there is a bucket half full of water in our bathroom that The-Sort-One is refusing to dump or move, stating that the moment she does the electricity will shut off again, so as you can see she is worse than i am!

I am sad to report that the valentines committee saw fit to hand the first place prize for poster making to Percy Prettypants (who happens to be Booy's arch enemy, might I add!). There was quite a hullabaloo, though I have to admit that were I on the committee and forced to choose between Booy's entry (which had a giant green dinosaur eating bears and the slogan: I'd rather be eaten than forced to go) I would have chosen Percy's too! But given the choice between MINE and Percy's.. Well, I think the choice is obvious. I should have won!

Anyway, so he and Booy ended up in a punching fight on the playground, Booy tackled him at some point I am told, and it took three teachers to separate them. This time Booy was expelled for a week - meaning he will miss ALL the Valentine's horror! He won’t have to go to the dance, he won’t have to hand out Valentines, none of it! Because of this he is quite delighted and has been cheerful all weekend despite the fact that The-Short-One grounded him. He said he would rather be grounded then trapped with a bunch of girls who all want him to dance. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that I doubted any girl really wanted to be forced to dance with him either!

Speaking of valentines, I have made a very nice one for my best friend Bubbles, and i have gotten him a valentines surprise! I know he will love it - I had best not say what it is here in case someone reads it before valentine’s day, but suffice it to say it is great!

There is still some question as to whether we will be having a party here though, or not. I am voting no, but the girls are all voting yes and threatening many of us with bodily harm if we do not cooperate. The girls were outvoted at Bubbles's house, so they have banded together with our girls and are trying to stuff the ballot box, so to speak. I refuse to be forced to go to a Valentines party here as well! it would be different if they needed help with decorations, of course.... >hint< >hint<....

My Monkey Flu seems to be all gone now, thank goodness, and I am feeling better all the way around - yay! Though I suspect poor Bubbles may be coming down with something the way he has been sneezing lately. I told him that he should go to a doctor, but he refuses, so i guess he will just have to suffer until he quits being stubborn! then again, if it is the blasted monkey flu they won’t do much anyway!
