October 27 - November 8 2003

Hello my friends! Halloween has come and gone and now the holiday season has officially started - Christmas trees, mistletoe, twinkle lights, artificial snow - and that's just Wal-Mart! I swore Christmas wasn't for two more months, Hmmmmmm....

Trick or Treating was slim pickings this year. They are always slim out here, but they were very slim this year. The-Short-One said it was the same ikn town (she and Charlie went with their friends and that little girl - didn't take me I noticed). She said it was because there was a football game and that everyone went trick or treating really early coz everyone wanted to go to the game. A football game! Can you imagine choosing a football game over the joys of Halloween? Honestly!

Well, our Halloween party was interesting. To begin with we put on my fantastic play. Cluckers and Clyde did a short warm up act first, which was amusing - though I was too busy with organizing things to hear much of it. Anyway, the play went quite well, there were no major mishaps (like last time). Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom mad the costumes this time. They made everyone these great little wigs out of yarn and construction paper, not to mention Annie's dress. Buster Thomas, Rainbow and Clarance John helped with the sets - which were fantastic! It was a great show all in all! It was about the headless horseman who was really a nice piggy whose head had been stolen one Halloween and used as a pumpkin. So the headless horseman rides around every Halloween asking people if they've seen his head. Well of course, everyone thinks he is scary and runs away from him. Then he meets Nell (Annie) and Icabod Crane (Booy) and they help him find his head. Really, a masterpiece.

After our play we played some party games and had the delicious snacks that Doggie and Edgar and moos cooked up. The costume contest was not fair - I should have won, but instead Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom white won - they dressed up like a cherry and an apple! I mean, their costumes were nice, but mine was so origional! They said I didn't win because it was also my play costume, come on, who has time to put together two great costumes? Unfair. Then came the hayride. You may remember, dear friends, how I said we wanted a hayride but didn't know how to do it? Well, Spotty has a BIG red wagon, which he donated to the cause and he even volunteered to pull it. Things were going well until Pigelty-Wigelty got on. He kept shouting that it was going to slowly, so Spotty sped up. The only problem was that in the dark Spotty didn't see the cow pond! In went Spotty, wagon, passengers and all! It was quite a mess. We spent half an hour fishing everyone out of the pond. I think that Pigelty-Wigelty should not be allowed to participate in any more activities for a while, but of course Clownie and Henry don't agree with me, so I am sure I shall be vetoed! Hmmphphphp!

Charlie has found a new home for my website! (if you are reading this then you have found it!) The best part is that it is also a free site, though now I have to give back all the money that was donated to help pay for the site. The problem is I already spent part of it on tootsie rolls, so I think it may take a bit to repay. Heh-heh.

Not much else is going on here. The Halloween decorations are gone and we have been doing a lot of homework. Mrs. Friendly says we need to finish four more chapters in Science before Christmas! She is a slave driver! Booy, of course, has been his bad self. He does not do his homework, and he got his honey cakes confiscated last week (he was eating during reading time), not to mention his firecrackers that he left in the teacher's desk (they blew up and caused quite a stir). Mrs. Friendly is threatening to send a note home, and I hope she does! He is quite a disruption in class! He needs to follow my example.

Well, that is about all - oh! the aliens! How could I forget them! Charlie took them somewhere Thursday morning and when they came back they were acting odd. Feanor (the new one) is back to himself, but the general Moogle is still sleeping a lot and she isn't jumping on everything like she used to. I heard The-Short-one say that they got "fixed". I noticed the stitches on Muffin's tummy and now I know! Bubbles wrote me all about it (third page next to the cat picture) when it happened to his alien last January! He says that the vets are helping the aliens and that they make them meaner and faster! Thank goodness the alien queen Shelob did not go - though she was really happy when she though that the general was gone for good!

I had better let you go or this shall be a book instead of an entry!

This is the cow pond disaster. As you can see I, Annie and Booy were there to help save the victims.
here is Booy's fire cracker exploding while one of our classmates tries to read a report.
