Autumnal greeting to all! Ahhh, fall is in the air at last - though by the warm weather you would hardly guess!

Well, this has been a busy couple of weeks. To begin with we had a brief encounter with what might be another alien. As you know, Bubbles has been attacked by a swarm of alien spiders. Well, right after that a GIANT alien spider turned up on our door. Charlie wouldn't let me smoosh it because he said it was his pet. What is it with people and their affection for all things alien? Either way the giant alien arachnid has now skulked off somewhere else and is no longer a problem, though I am sure the alien cats managed to communicate with it first.

As for the warm weather I mentioned, it was so warm that we went for a picnic to the cow pond! Doggie and his assistants made sandwiches and things and we all had a great time. I enjoy picnics immensely, but I also enjoy my cool, cloudy fall weather. So far there hasn't really been any this year!

We decorated for Halloween, it was a nice change since normally Charlie won't let us ("It makes a mess!"). He is the scrooge of Halloween! Anyway, I was in charge, but for some reason everyone thought Spotty would head up the decorating. Honestly, I had it all under control! Perry attached suction cups to his feet since he was the smallest, and used them to climb up the wall and hang things in hard to reach spots. The house looks very halloweenie now and has made it easier to get in the mood to write my amazing play!

Speaking of my amazing play, I have held auditions and have gotten all the parts selected. of course I will play the headless horseman. Booy will be Icabod Crane, and Annie got the part of Nell. The rest are a surprise! Though I got the play finished up at Bubbles's house, so he helped me write the ending.

You may wonder what I was doing in Iowa. Well, the Slobby-Brother-Like-Person got sick and was in the hospital, so The-Short-One, Booy and myself went up for a week long visit. by the tie we got there The-Slobby-Brother-Like-Person was out of the hospital and doing much better, but that was okay because I and Bubbles had a lot of fun. Bubbles took me to his school for show and tell and I told his whole class about the alien invasion and what to look out for. They were very impressed and of course had lots of questions for me. Also, we had a stowaway. Spud sneaked himself into a box of things the Short-One brought with her. He swears he didn't and tries to say that that little girl that sometimes visits put him in there, but I am sure he snuck up here to see his friend socks. Socks was, of course, delighted and they spent the entire visit rapping their strange songs. Though I think they both overexagerated Sock's "traumatizing incident". You see, Socks was looking a bit grungy so The-Short-One gave him a bath. To hear Socks carry on it was the most terrible experience in his life. What is the problem with baths? I enjoy them!

We all got to make caramel apple while we were there too. Willy (an orange worm who hangs around with Boo Boo) fell into the bowl of caramel dip. Luckily the caramel was cool so he didn't get hurt, but Boo Boo had quite a time trying to unstick him! We also played fort and, of course, Captain teddy - since Booy won't take his captain teddy costume off now (I had him put it on to draw his picture last week).

Anyway, we are home now, so I shall let you go, my faithful friends.

P.S. I am still looking for a new home, so some things still aren't working on my site yet (sigh).
