Bubbles Moves
By Oinkers
I, Oinkers, will still be in Iowa as this is being printed. I am relating it over the phone to Edgar.
I have been in Iowa helping Bubbles's family move to a new town. It has been unbelievably hot here all week, and I am fairly worn out with all the work I have been having to do.
Of course, I have had to be the boss, as without me in charge everyone was a disorganized mess! Everyone here has been doing a lot of work, though a certain bear has been taking a lot of lemonade breaks.
I just wanted to let everyone know where I am and that Bubbles and all of his friends have moved to a new house.

A Good Joke
By Charles the Frog
One day a duck walks into a clothing store and asks the clerk "Do you have any duck food?"
"No, we sell clothes," says the clerk, so the duck leaves.
The next day the duck is back and again asks the clerk, "Do you have any duck food?"
"No," says the clerk, "I told you yesterday we only sell clothes. No duck Food." So, the duck leaves.
The next day the duck goes back to the store and asks the same question again. The clerk gets mad and says, "No! If you come back and ask for duck food again I will nail your feet to the floor!" So, the duck leaves.
The next day the duck is back and asks the clerk, "Do you have any nails?" "No," says the surprised clerk.
"Good," replies the duck. "Do you have any duck food?"

Fourth of July Celebration
Last month a fabulous Fourth of July celebration was held here.
A delicious bar-b-Que was held and attended by all, complete with hot dogs and potatoe chips. Doggie made an adorable cold fruit and whipped cream flag cake which really hit the spot as the temperature soared.
The Bar-B-Que was followed up by a spectatcular fireworks display, which many teddies contributed their allowance towards.
Afterwards a couple of movies were watched before everyone called it a night. Hopefully next years party can be half as good!

Pigs Win 30-8
Last months Baseball game was quite a match, but in the end the "Pigs", coached by Oinkers, won a decisive victory.
Booy's team, "The Bears" had a good first inning, but things went downhill from there. Their star pitcher, Booy, had to be benched after he attacked the referee over a play call of "Foul".
The referees (Annie and Clownie) refused to let the bear return to the game. Bad luck seemed to follow "The Bears", as their star hitter, Doggie, had to drop out of the game because of an injury. He was hit in the head with a baseball and incurred a nasty bump.
From there on it was a piece of cake for Oinkers's well trained team to take home the win.

School Starts Soon
It is a subject best left ignored, but we must discuss it : school will be starting again soon.
Everyone needs to be sure that they get the most fun out of the next three weeks, as summer is almost gone. Also everyone needs to get a list of their school supply needs to Joey. Below is a list of most of the things we will need, though different classes do require different things.
Pencils
Red Ink Pens
Notebooks
Ruler and Protractor
Folders
Pencil Case
Trapper Keeper, or Three Ring Binder
Crayons
Scissors
Glue
Art Box
2 Boxes of Kleenex
If you can think of anything else then please let me know, as I am making a list!

Cow Pond a Peaceful Oasis
The last three weeks have seen the return of the cow pond.
So far everyone has been being good, and we all hope it stays that way, I only fear that it won't.

Blow Up Pool Punctured
While most of us have been playing in the cow pond, a few of the more timid have been playing in the blow-up kiddy-pool. Well, the pool is no more.
Last week it received a puncture too large to be repaired, so the pool has been discarded. Those who were playing in it will either have to join the rest of us or do without water sports the rest of the summer, as a new one will not be purchased.
