Volume XXXVIII By Edgar T. Penguin September 2003
Skating Ban
As of late last month an indoor skating ban has been put into effect by The-Short-One.
Anyone caught skating inside will loose their roller-skates for two weeks and will also be grounded. I seriously suggest those who wish to skate go outside on the new blacktop.

Circus Planned
Clownie and company are putting on a circus the first Saturday of this month.
New to this performance are Pongo with an entertaining gorilla act and Bully and Perry with what promises to be an interesting bull fighting act. Clownie was hoping to have Slimy dive from his high-dive into a glass of water, but Slimy has still not returned from his trip to Iowa where he is undergoing surgery.
Either way, this year's circus promises to be great!

Baseball Winding Down
Last month saw the baseball season winding down with the last two scheduled games of the season.
"the Pigs" played "The Bears", loosing and sending "The Bears" to battle "The Stars" later in the month.
"The Stars" won, leaving a problem with the championship, as both "The Pigs" and "The Bears" are now tied with 2 wins apiece, leaving it unclear which team will play "The Stars" (who lead with 7 wins) in the final game
A meeting of the household "Baseball Association" next Tuesday afternoon should decide the matter, as baseball season winds down for the year.

Feanor aka. Weeble

The new Alien

New Alien has Arrived
As everyone is aware there is another new addition to our household: the orange kitten Feanor.
Oinkers, the alien expert, had this to say, "This is a calamity, friends! The alien spaceship may have been taken away, but apparently Moogle managed to get the message sent for reinforcements - and here they are!"
When asked about this particular alien his reply was this, "The alien Feanor is a member of the F.I.A. (Feline Intelligence Agency) and is one of their top agents. he was sent here, no doubt, to discover why Moogles's transmissions were ended and to help the aliens in their evil quest of world domination!"
If this is true then we must all band together and try to save our planet from this threat!

Movie Revue: The Two Towers
By Annie
Late last month the newest installment in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Two Towers, was released.
Like last time the costumes, sets etc. were spectacular, but the plot left a bit to be desired.
Fans of the book by J.R.R. Tolkien will be surprised at many of the changes to the story line, many of which seem pointless and in fact, change characters personalities greatly.
Despite this, I still call it a "must see".

School Back in Session
Once again it is that time of year when school is again in session.
A friendly reminder to all to be sure and complete homework and not ot forget your lunches or lunch money, as it is a long day when you are without your lunch.
Here's hoping that this school year is one of the best ever (and that Booy can stay out of the principle's office)!

Editorial: Inside Skating is Dangerous
By Oinkers
Recently a new and dangerous activity has been enjoyed by the fearsome five: indoor roller-skating!
The above mentioned girls have been roller-skating throughout the house, causing no end of disasters. They knocked over Pigelty-Wigelty just last week, they skating through Clownie's circus practice causing commotion, and need I mention the infamous "skating disaster" that ended in spaghetti and innocent bystanders scattered about?
I say it is time something is done about this immediately! I, personally, have gone to The-Short-One and am expecting an answer from her any day now! If you can't skate outside then don't skate at all!
(This article was written before the skating ban was imposed-Ed)

Upcoming Concert
Spud and his dancers will be performing the third Saturday of this month in the front room at eight o'clock.
Spud said this will be his "best show ever" and attributes it to the acquisition of his "magic machine".
    Hope to see everyone there!
