Volume XXXIX By Edgar T. Penguin October 2003
Editorial: Pig in Need of Help
By Oinkers
I, Oinkers, have run into a serious problem with my website. I say MY website, but really this also effects Edgar's site, and Booy's site, not to mention Doggie and Spotty. It also effects all of you as I can no longer post your stories or songs or letters.
The serious problem we are all facing is that our websites are currently out of room! That means that the only way new things, such as this paper, can be posted is if I delete older things. How can this problem be solved? By moving to a new address of course!
Why do I need your help? Because moving my site will mean that I will have to start paying for our web space, and it's probably going to be expensive. So, I am asking you, my friends and fellow webmasters, to please contribute to the "Oinkers's Website Fund". How can you do this? I, Oinkers, will be available to collect this money on Friday (allowance day). If you wish to donate just let me know!

Pumpkin Carving Workshop
Oinkers will be holding a Pumpkin Craving Workshop on the 18th of this month.
Tools and patterns will be available, but you need to bring your own pumpkins at two o'clock on the front deck. Hope to see everyone there.

Circus Excitememnt
Last month, after much practicing, Clownie and Co. put on a wonderful circus on the front deck to entertain us all.
This year saw some new acts including Pongo and his banana juggling, Perry and Bully's Mexican act, Speedy and Lammy's dance routine and of course Annie and Charles the Frog's exng yet disastrous cat riding act. Of course, the old favorites, such as Clownie's balloon animals and Roary's lion act were still there.
There were twelve acts total, and a short intermission in between where everyone was glad of Doggie's tasty treats, though the highlight of the evening would have to have been the ninth act. Annie came into the ring leading none other than the new cat Feanor being ridden by Charles the Frog. All went well for a few minutes, and then suddenly the cat went bad and throwing off Charles began mauling the helpless frog. Luckily Charles was successfully extracted from the cat's clutches and there were no permanent injuries.
All in all, the circus was great and this reporter, for one, is counting down the day still next year's circus!

For more on the circus see my review!

New Teacher Really Old Teacher
School is underway, and many of us had a great shock on the first day.
A new teacher Mrs. Friendly, had recently transferred here from a school in Iowa and as it turns out it is none other than the Mrs. friendly our old teacher from Coin!
Mrs. friendly is quite happy to see some of her old students, though for some reason she wasn't as thrilled to see Booy. Either way, I hope everyone behaves and makes Mrs. friendly feel welcome in this new school!

Halloween Fun
Halloween is coming and as usual we are again planning our annual Halloween party.
The party will be on Halloween night, Doggie is scarring up some yummy treats, and Oinkers is organizing a rendition of "The headless Horseman" for entertainment. Annie is in charge of games and Spotty has been voted head of the decorations committee. If you would like to help please contact any of the above mentioned and they will tell you what you can do.
There has also been some discussion on the possibilities of a hayride, but so far no one has any ideas on how to accomplish this. If you can think of anything, please let one of the committee members know!
Hope to see everyone there in their costumes!
