They were gone for a week and had quite an enjoyable time. They have reported back to me that everyone in Iowa is doing well, and that they miss us. Oinkers had this to say of his trip, "The best part was getting to see Bubbles, my best friend. I really worry about him." Booy's comments were these, "It was fun, Grandma always has lots of honey cakes for me, and we had a good trip home, though we got lost and it took hours to get here." I am sure everyone shares my joy at their safe return and in the news that all is well.
If so, candy-trading day will be this Saturday afternoon in the Living Room. All trades honored.

Spotty, Annie, Doggie, Booy, Edgar and Oinkers Picture by Oinkers
Booy Bear was in charge of the food, with a little help from Doggie. Spotty decorated, and yours truly was in charge of the games. We played "Poker", "Bingo", "Musical Chairs", and ended the evening with "What Time is it Old Witch". The food was delicious, but even better were the costumes! Everyone turned out in true Halloween style. A few of the costumes included a princes, a devil, a sailor, a pirate, a detective, Captain Teddy and a beach ball! A good time was had by all, and there are many who hope that there will be another party next year!
Need a mystery solved? Spotty and Batty are availabe seven days a week, and have an amazing record of 6 for 6.

The town swarmed with children, and lots of cars, so the costumed group didn't get as much candy as they were expecting, though they brought back plenty. Many trick-or-treaters also visited the house till late into the night, making it a very busy place. Organization is already in the works for a candy-trading day.
My sources say that there may be a connection again next month, but it is not definite, so cross your fingers.
No one is sure how long this "Spit" craze will last, in light of the short span of "poker" playing. Not everyone, likes "Spit", so it is predicted it won't last long. Clarance John's "Shoot" is still available to play on Wednesday's, though.
