Rodeo On It's Way
By Boo Boo
The first ever cat Rodeo is slated to be held the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Several brave bears have already signed up, but it is never too late for more hardy contestants to sign themselves up. If you are interested see Ruby.
Of course there are lots of other things to do besides ride the cats! Cluckers & Clyde have already volunteered to be the rodeo clowns, and the handy cooking team is going to make refreshments for everyone - and they are always welcoming help!
This promises to be a very interesting affair, and one no one should miss, hope to see everyone there!

Editorial: Danger in Our House
By Annie
We should all be aware that a dangerous element lives amongst us: Booy!
For years Booy has wreaked havoc in this household, but after last month's poisoning of our fellow classmate Toady, we can finally see how extremely dangerous this bear really is!
The school may not think this incident worth suspension, labeling it an accident, but was it? Or was it cold, calculated and pre-meditated?
Either way, I say the bear is a menace!

Editorial: I am Not a Poisoner
By Booy
I want to say once and for all I a not a poisoner!
I am tired of everyone in this house calling me one and saying I poisoned Toady! i did not poison Toady, it was his own fault for eating my show-and-tell!
I ask you, why would anyone eat anything that looks like a severed hand? Obviously Toady has some vision problems, or else his mother sends horrible lunches to school with him!
Anyway, the next one who calls me a poisoner is going to get punched right in the nose, so I wouldn't, if I were you!

Help Needed
The Cooking Team is looking for help preparing Thanksgiving dinner, if interested talk to Doggie, Andy or Natasha!
Picture Contest
As usual, the Penguin Post is holding it's Christmas Picture contest. Entries must be in by November 28th!

Winners of the Song Contest
There were a lot of entries in the Halloween song contest, but in the end these were the top four, by popular vote!
First place went to Bubbles with "Here Comes Dracula". "Here comes Dracula, here comes Frankenstein, stomping down your lane. Ghosts rattle shackles, and witches cackles, are throbbing in your brain. Werewolves howling, children cowering, shivering in their fear. jack-o-lanterns, cobweb patterns, yes Halloween is here!"
Second place went to Oinkers with his "Most Wonderful Time of The Year". "It's the most wonderful time of the year, The leaves are all blowing, The pumpkins are glowing, Children filled with fear, It's the most wonderful time of the year! There'll be costumes for wearing, And candy for sharing, Ghosts creeping out in the night, There'll be vampire's biting, And candles for lighting, And many a dread scary sight! It's the most wonderful time of the year, While your fears are all growing, The full moon is glowing, Werewolves drawing near, It's the most wonderful time of the year!
Third place went to Chester for "O' Halloween" "O' Halloween, O' Halloween, I love your bright orange pumpkins. o' Halloween, O' Halloween, they're round and fat like dumplings. I love to take a big sharp knife, Carve out a face with scary eyes. O' Halloween, O' Halloween, I love your bright orange pumpkins"
And, finally, fourth place went to Seymore for "What Ghost is This" "What ghost is this? Who's creeping down, the hallway so mischievously? Floating high, above the floor, around the corners peeping. This, this is Halloween, The ghost of seasons joyful, every year he comes around, To bring the smiles bountiful"
The Penguin Post would like to thank all the participants for a fun filled musical night!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Halloween Party A Success
The annual Halloween Party was held on October 31st, and as usual was a success!
This year's costume contest, judged by Timothy and Clownie was a little different than normal, with everyone winning an award of some kind!
Doggie, Natasha and Andy provided the food, which was very tasty and creatively themed to the Halloween season.
many games were played, and the party ended with the first ever Halloween Song Contest, with each contestant singing their song for the party goers. Of course favorites were quickly picked (see Halloween Song Contest Winners), but al of the entries were wonderful, just like the party!

Internet Returns
After waiting for years for the internet to return, our hopes have finally been realized, it is back!
This connection is a little slower than what we were used to as it is through the cell phone and people laws say it can't connect any higher than 14.4, so be warned you will need to exercise patience when using the computer!
How long will we be connected for this time? it is hard to say if this will last forever, or only a matter of months, so please don't anyone hog the computer, there are twice as many of us now as there used to be.
Finally, those who know what they are doing, be sure and help those who don't and remember: be patient, sometimes it takes awhile to learn! Happy surfing!

New friends

By Willie

There are five new friends who have come to live with us!
Sir-laugh-A-Lot is a British monster who enjoys scaring people, Sleepy is a camel who enjoys napping, Ricky is a raccoon who enjoys history and trivia and Little tweet and Acorn the squirrel have their own folk music band.
I am sure that these new editions to the household will contribute a lot and will help to liven things up, particularly Sir laugh-A-Lot!
I hope everyone makes our new friends feel welcome!
