February 1 - 14 2004

Happy Valentines Day to all! Ah yes, a holiday celebrating the need to buy expensive cards and flowers used by the advertising media to remind you that if you don't drop a lot of money you're not as good as everyone else, what a holiday. Frankly I find it to be a bit mushy, but that's my opinion.

Well, the Pigelty-Wigelty mystery is over - not solved, but over. As you know he complained to the Teddy Council, (the Teddy Council is a group of us that have been chosen to handle things in times of crisis such as Clownie, Seymore etc. The last time the Teddy Council met was when The-Short-One and Charlie decided we were moving to Missouri, so as you can see the Teddy Council only convenes over important things) and the teddy Council held their meeting and decided that it was time to leave Pigelty-Wigelty alone. They determined that if he really had "secret feet" then it was his business and we all needed to stop harassing him. Pigelty-Wigelty is very happy with the results - though I am not. Though I have discovered something else about the mysterious secretary - he carries around a red book with him all of the time. I am going to try to get a hold of it and see what it says and if I do I will pass the information onto all of you.

Without the Pigelty-Wigelty excitement not much else has been going on these past weeks. The weather has been too cold to play outside, but too warm for snow. School has been grueling work as our teacher is still determined to break our spirits with homework.

Oh, today is our Valentines party. Doggie is in the kitchen right now finishing up the treats - you should see the valentines I made for everyone they are great! We had our school party on Friday, but it was kind of boring because it was all girly stuff, though I must say I do enjoy the use of red and pink during this season as they are my two favorite colors. Anyway, at the party several of the girls did a Ballet routine, and Cuddles was of course one of them. Too bad Barbie didn't live here, I'm sure she'd have been really happy.

The house was an absolute pit on Thursday because Charlie FINAALLY decided to fix the computer chair. Our computer chair is an old armchair that was made before The-Short-One was even born! The boards inside of it have petrified themselves so that it is impossible to hammer a nail through them, and I am not even going to discuss the upholstery, I will say that The-Short-One buys chair covers for it which is a wise idea unless she wants to go for the abandoned house look (which she could with the cobwebs in the corners). Anyway, it has been broken for some time so that every time one sat in it they had to completely reconstruct it when they got out of it. It has been on it's last legs for years and last week it finally went so that no one could be on the computer because there was no where to sit. Charlie suggested buying a new chair (an excellent idea), but The-Short-One went hysterical and started yabbering about how much she likes the chair and how comfortable it is and so on, so Charlie finally broke down and spent a day putting it back together. Of course there was saw dust and bits of foam and wood and Styrofoam everywhere, but The-short-One finally got to work and cleaned up her mess, so that the house now looks passable. Frankly I think that if she would spend some time at home instead of always being at her "friend's" house that maybe the state of affairs would not get so desperate around here.

That is about all there is for now....OH! I got my valentine from Bubbles. It is very cute, I sent him one that has a piggy on t - just like last years!

Well, I had best be going.

Until next time,
O

This is Cuddles and two of our classmates Pricilla and Tiny doing their Valentine Ballet routine.
Here i am trying to help Charlie fix the computer chair - isn't it a mess?
