Spring greetings to all! Yes, Spring is finally here, there is no question as the temperatures are in the sixties and the breeze is warm and the sun is shining!
I have gotten a letter from Bubbles and with my letter was the rudest thing I have ever seen from Andy! It is a comparison chart talking about how I have no tail! Of course I have no tail as I am sooooo piggy like that a tail is not necessary. This chart was very rude - and he stole most of it from my chart! You should see it!
Lots of things have been happening around here. To begin with The Captain Teddy Convention was last weekend. Booy and Doggie went all out, making costumes that in my opinion were a lot of work, though I have to admit they looked good in them. Anyway as you know from last week, they wanted to camp out overnight in front of the Teddy Town Auditorium so they could be sure and get in. Well, naturally, The-Short-One said no - so guess what they did? They snuck out anyway! They set their tent and stuff up earlier in the day and then just came home and when it was bedtime they stuffed pillows under their bedspreads and slipped out of the house and made their way uptown. It worked well until The-Short-One went to wake them up for the Convention and discovered they were gone. (There is a rumor that Clownie knew about the plan in advance and didn't tell anyone - which is unlike him.) Anyway, The-Short-One got mad and a search was organized, but it took hours to find them because as I predicted there were many hundreds of bears dressed as captain Teddy. Since I was helping to look for the pair of wrongdoers I ended up going to the convention, though I was one of the last few to get in the door. The whole inside of the auditorium was filled with booths selling everything you can think of that could be stamped with either the Captain Teddy name or a name of one of the many sub characters or evil villains. Even the food stand sold "Dr. Freeze Slushies" and "Killer Tomato Pizza" and of course the all-American "Victory-dog"(a hot dog smothered in relish and wrapped in a Captain Teddy napkin). And the comic book stands! There were tons of them selling comic books or trading comic books - it was unreal! Of course they were also selling movies and action figures and cards and everything else - even balloons! Well, I looked very hard for Booy and Doggie, but then the movie started and it got dark so I was forced to stop looking, so I went ahead and watched the new movie
" Captain Teddy and the Calypso Caper". It was fairly entertaining as Captain Teddy goes. After the movie as the lights were coming up who should be standing in front of the movie screen but Captain Teddy (well, the guy who plays Captain Teddy in the movies) dressed in his patented uniform and wearing a string of tropical flowers around his neck. All of the bears in the place rushed the stage and I was nearly squashed! I figured that Booy would be getting an autograph, so I pushed my way through the crowd and ended up with an autograph of my own, but no Booy. Though I didn't really care about getting an autograph I have decided to frame it anyway, to make Booy jealous. Well, after the crowd began to dissipate I finally found Doggy in his "Dr. Freeze" outfit looking for Booy. I grabbed Doggie and it took us about an hour after that to find Booy who was arguing at a comic book stand over whether Prunelopy Puffer was really a villain or not (she sometimes helps
Captain Teddy, but sometimes she helps the evil villains). Well, I got Booy and Doggie home and they are now both grounded for a month! The-Short-One confiscated everything they got at the convention (including their autographs) and says they can have it back when they are done being grounded. Frankly I could not believe Booy would pull such a stunt-wait, yes I can.
Seymore has been trying to psychoanalyze the Harrys and it has not been going well. They showed up at his meeting (I was surprised) but in the end they tied him up and put a wig on his pink head and then they danced around him singing Indian songs. Henry, of course, objected, but none of the Harrys listen to Henry any more then they listen to anyone else - even though Henry is one of their own kind. A couple of the girls objected a little bit, but they were still dancing the Indian dance anyway. Luckily Pongo was worried about his friend and breaking the "no one else in the bedroom rule" battled the Harrys to rescue Seymore. It was quite a battle with Harrys flying here and there! You would think that Seymore would wash his hands of the whole project but he is determined to get to the bottom of it and so he is setting up meetings with individual Harrys to start next week. He already met with Henry but it didn't do much towards unraveling the source of the Harrys evilness as Henry is too nice.
As for Pigelty-Wigelty's book I have not had a chance to look in it as the yellow pig has become very possessive. I once managed to pick it up but Pigelty-Wigelty took a flying leap and landed on my head while making karate "Hiy-ahh!" noises. Frankly the episode was fairly disturbing, especially when he hollered that he had a "Back belt in Pig-etsu!". I have never heard of that particular branch of the martial arts, but he was so whacked out that I just gave him back his book and am now trying to formulate a new plan - perhaps one that doesn't indicate me as guilty as the crazy pig is still threatening me with the Teddy Council.
I think that is about everything that has been going on around here.... I guess I had better go and get my pictures finished up for this.
Ta-ta,
O
Here I am trying to find Booy and Doggie at the convention - I was trying to blend in.
This is the famous Captain Teddy as he appeared on stage. I would have been more excited if I was a Captain Teddy fan.
Here I am finding Booy. Doggie is dressed as Dr. Freeze, and of course you know who Booy is dressed like.
This is poor Seymore being sacrificed by the Harrys.
here is Pongo saving poor Seymore.
See the viciuos Pigelty-Wigelty attacking me? How rude of him!
here is my Captain Teddy autograph - I don't know why it says I'm his biggest fan....
