Greetings all! Let me be the first to say Happy Valentine's Day! And guess what? I have given out another Award! I am quite happy about this, as I enjoy giving them out, so keep nominating sites, guys!
Other than that I haven't really added anything this week. The-Short-One has been on the computer a lot working on her new website project - something to do with Harry Potter or something, I am not sure. But, I did manage to get some Internet time in and as I was feeling silly I started doing searches for "oinkers" and you'll never believe what I turned up! First I tried Google, and this site here at 50 Megs is result number 11 & 12 out of 5,810! The old tripod site was #47. Next I tried yahoo and whereas that old Tripod site is #3 out of 2,910, I never did find a listing for this site. My Tripod site is also number 3 on Alta Vista and Lycos, but again no mention of this site. In conclusion? Google is obviously the superior search engine! And, just in case you think I am insane, I took the liberty of taking a few screen captures as evidence - okay, it has nothing to do with your opinions of my sanity, I was just so very excited to fins myself in a search engine for once!
The warm weather has gone, and in its place has been chilly weather - in fact it has been freezing. So, what did The-Short-One decide to do? She gave me a bath! Yes, a bath in freezing cold temperatures (in the kitchen sink, no less) and left me to "drip-dry"! She could have at least used her blow-drier! Luckily, I have finally gotten dry, which is amazing considering that I spent a good quantity of time with icicles hanging off of me! But now, I am clean and dry and have been brushed, so I everything worked out well.
Bubbles and I have continued to get letters from various government officials, but as they don't say anything more than the ones I have already posted, I decided not to bother. I am getting low on space anyway, and once I fill this up my only alternative will be to either take something off (and we don't want that!) or else pay. And whereas $6 a month does not sound bad it ends up being $90 a year (counting fees and things)! I am not a rich piggy, so when it comes to that I may be asking for donations!
The rodeo is drawing near, and there is a new snag. Ruby was planning on catching one of the outdoor cats to replace Feanor, but no one has seen them! They used to come and beg for food, but after we "adopted" Nermal, they have quit coming. The-Short-One says that the lady in the house next door said the cats used to live in her barn, but that she has not seen them lately either! Ruby is quite upset and has started putting cat food outside the door in hopes of drawing a stray or two. Frankly, I think she is crazy! Who would want to ride a cat anyway?
There is a new club forming here. Boo-Boo is organizing it, and he hasn't decided on a name yet. The members will meet once a week and have snacks (Andy has already signed on), but other than that he has been pretty vague about the details. Bubbles thinks we should join, but I am almost thinking about starting my own club since I think Boo-Boo wants to be the president of his, and I would be wasted in a non-authoritative position.
What else is going on around here... the neighbors and their crying baby have left, but the landlord says someone has already rented the place. Strangely enough it is the 10th of February and these so-called renters still have not shown up. Apparently, The-Slobby-Brother-Like-Person was hoping to rent it. Just what we would need, a slob living next door!
Other than the Valentine's parties, which will be Monday, not much else is going on. the school party is going to be in the gym and I have heard rumors there is going to be music, which may mean dancing-ech! Booy got to help select the cookies for the school party - how that happened I don't know, but he spent an entire lunch last week tasting dozens and dozens of cookies. in the end he chose most of them, so there will be quite a few at the party. At our home party there is going to be a valentine's costume contest... I enjoy costumes as much as the next pig, but really, Valentine's Day? Isn't that going too far? These Iowa girls are very strange, our usual valentine's party has some red & pink hearts stapled up, a few streamers, some candy and a valentine exchange - maybe a couple of games and then we call it a night. But, they have some extravaganza planned. Booy and Doggie are still holding their Sunday night ant-valentine's party, and frankly I am thinking of coming. I am not anti-valentines per say, but I am anti-extravagant valentines. I haven't decided yet, though.
Well, I think I will end this now

P.S. Bubbles has e-mailed his mommy again, so feel free to read it!
P.P.S. Apparently my site is also listed in a paper dolls link list (who knew?) - when I find out where it is I will tell you!
O
this is me freezing in the sink while "drip drying".
here is Ruby trying to tempt the stray cats, but I think they have all left.
here I am as number 11 & 12 on Google search! I also have several pictures if you do an image search for oinkers!
yahoo's search results - though it's the Tripod site.
Alta Vista's results, still Tripod, though.
And finaly here is Lycos, too.
if you find my site on a different search engine - let me know so I can post it!
