Greetings all! There must be something about Fridays - it was perfectly warm all week until late Wednesday and then it started getting cold. I have noticed that it is always cold whenever I go to write my entries. Hmmmmmm...
I have not had much time on the computer lately as The-Short-One has been working on her new sites these last weeks. She has finally got them fished - or finished enough to upload, anyway. Http://www.diagonalley.5u.com/index.html - that is the address, and they are wei-rd, believe me. They are Harry Potter shops (?). You will have to see them for yourself to understand them - trust me.
Bubbles and I have come to the conclusion that the letter writing campaign is not working. It might be effective if we could get addresses to federal politicians, but no one will give us any. I am starting to think bubbles is right and that there is NO federal government of any kind. I am not sure what we are going to do next, but rest assured we will not give up!
Ruby has redoubled her efforts to attract stray cats for the rodeo. She takes cat food out there and has also started leaving leftovers as well. In the morning the leftovers are gone, but there are no new cats. I think that it is the coyotes eating the food and that she is encouraging quite a herd around here, but she is sure that it is cats. Maybe they should just catch a coyote or two to ride - it makes as much sense to me. Anyway, I do not know what they are all going to do if they can not find a big cat for the larger teddies to ride.
Boo Boo's club is called "The Teddy Club" and they have already had a meeting. I went to their first one, but as they already have all of the authoritative positions filled, I don't really see anything for me to do. I want to start my own club, but Bubbles says the meetings will have to be on a different night because he wants us to join Boo Boo's club! I think we should start a club to uncover the secret of the teddy government and bubbles agrees, but as I said he also wants to join Boo Boo's club too, so I have not sorted out the particulars yet. I think "Oinkers for president" would be a good club title, but Bubbles says it might discourage membership! Why would that discourage membership?!? Hrmph!
As for our new neighbors, it turns out they backed out, so the landlord has found a new renter and you will not guess who - The-Slobby-Brother-Like-Person! He moves in on the first, so now we will have a Slobby little moocher living next door! And he says he is going to have The-Short-One do all of his cleaning and cooking and laundry! Frankly, she already neglects this house, the last thing we need is her neglecting another one!
We went to Booy's anti-valentine's party, and for it being a Captain Teddy party it was rather enjoyable. Doggie made some captain teddy themed treats and we watched Booy's Captain teddy's First years DVD collection. He has all the Captain teddy movies (well most of them) on VCR tapes and his new goal is to get them all on DVD. Anyway, as I said, it was quite fun, but Annie came crashing in about one am and informed us all that it was time to go to bed - then she took the remote controls and the remaining snacks and hid them, so that was the end of the party.
As for Valentine's Day, the party at school did involve dancing! Yech! There were thousands of cookies and thousands of girls giggling in every corner of the gym, I was glad to escape! Then we came home and were forced to endure the valentine nightmare all over again. There was a costume contest (one where everyone gets a prize- again) and then there was music and balloons and streamers and heart shaped everything! Sonnet, Easter, Acorn and Little Tweet did a Valentine's concert, and they roped Chester and Clyde into doing a Valentine's comedy routine! Then, the evil girls made the Fuzzy Animals play the music for the dancing portion - and Annie and Betsy roamed the crowd forcing everyone to dance! Annie said, and I quote, "You are going to dance and you are going to like it!". She has become quite an unruly bully since Andy moved here! Someone needs to do something about this!
St. Patrick's day is coming up, as is easter, and I am in a state of great fear that someone will let the girl's organize either of these holiday parties! Frankly, none of them need to go anywhere near them, or we will be dressing up as bunnies and pirouetting for Easter! Ack!
Oh! I have joined a paper doll web ring - The-Short-One signed me up for it while she was joining Harry Potter web-rings for her new sites. Which reminds me, I am going to add a link to her site on my Links page - so she had better link back to me, too!
Speaking of my website, this July will be it's 5 year anniversary! Can you believe it? Five years!!! I am thinking of doing something special for it, but I do not know what. I don't really want to re-design it as I am quite happy with the current layout. Maybe I should tackle the home page and do something with it - it is such a mess! But, I don't really want to re-do it either, as I am quite fond of it as it is. I enjoy a little organized chaos every now and then. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!
Well, I am going to close this so I can get it uploaded.
Ta-ta
O
Here are me and bubbles's Valentine's costumes.
By the way - I am now #2 on google's search list! Thought you might find it interesting!
