Greetings to all! It has been Hot, Hot, Hot here! I have to say that the heat is definitely a downside to summer!

Well, our club is officially doing about anything to raise the extra money! Some of us have been doing chores for The-Short-One (for a pittance, my I add), and I am currently organizing a garage sale which will be held in teddy Town. Bob (yes, he is a member) has taken a unique approach - he is eating people's vegetables for a price. Apparently Natasha gets quite crabby at the Iowa bears if they don't eat their veggies, so for 50 cents a plate he will eat their vegetables. Whatever works I say. We will be going to Jefferson City's teddy town late next month to annoy the politicians there and demand some answers.

We lost our last game to the Chargers (Orange Ducky's team), but I am optimistic about tomorrow's game against Andy's team. I heard a rumor tat Andy's team has not been practicing, and I have actually made my team work this year - thanks in part to my irate co-captain. I thought about making Bubbles my new assistant coach this year, but Annie is finally living up to her bossy potential, so I will leave things as they are. Speaking of Annie and Andy, they got into a fight at the last baseball game. Annie, and I quote, "made ookey faces" at Andy. So he wrote her a poem that went something like "Swing your sister round and round, throw her down upon the ground, and just because I love her so, pull her ears and bite her toes, doodle, doodle, doodle, doodle, doodle, doodle, doo." She then pounded him and so he made her some "special" chocolate chip-exlax cookies for her tea party. the-Short-one got wind of it and made him not give them to her, so he has now given them to the Harry's, who are trying to trick everyone into eating them. bad Andy!

The alien fluff is finally gone, thank goodness. If only the aliens would leave that easily! Speaking of aliens, I have noticed something about our resident retarded alien Nermal - her head is much too small for her body! She is growing up, so her body is getting bigger, but her teeny-tiny head is not! Frankly she looks quite funny!

Taylor and Orange Ducky had their boat race, and Orange Ducky won. He has been raving about it constantly, so I hear. It was a bit exng though, as the two crashed into each other at one point and flipped their boats over! no one was hurt, of course.

We had some fun the other morning. Bubbles and I, and Edgar II and Petey and some other very small bears went on a bit of a "dew" expedition at about 6 in the morning. Edgar II was leading the way, but he (and the rest of the party, excluding yours truly) was a bit to short to see over the grass, so he kept leading us in circles. I tried to explain this, but he just got testy, so I decided to leave it alone. By breakfast time I had had enough, so I picked Bubbles up and headed back for the house. Luckily for the rest of the crabby and wet group, they followed us, so no one was permanently lost. Someone needs to mow a small patch of grass very, very short for them to play safely in. Thank goodness none of the bears who live with us are as small as some of those tiny Iowa bears!

There are a lot of summer projects going on around here. Pippin (next door) is making a handmade sled. he has the metal Working teacher coming this week to help him with the runners. He figures that by winter he might have it done. My current project is my club, but once we have made it to Jefferson city I do not know what i will do then. Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White are having Buster Thomas help them build a doll house. Maria's art club is following in The-Short-One's footsteps and making paper dolls. There are lots of other projects going on too.

Well, that is all for now - oh, we are having another bar-b-que, and Andy is cooking again. hopefully he doesn't burn the hotdogs to a crisp like he did last year. maybe we should have Hot Stuff (next door) help - he is now convinced since reading his "Devil Comics" that he can "Flame-Up" and set things on fire. This really involved him carrying around some strike-on-anywhere matches and lighting them. I am going to sit on him and take his matches away pretty soon as he is a bit dangerous with them! I shall end this for now,

Till next Time,
O
