November 5 - 18 2005

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! In case you didn't notice, I did not get my webset made, The-Short-One has been monopolizing the computer lately as she is working on her National Novel Writing Month project. Something about 50,00 words or something, i don't know. What could she possibly have to write about? Anyway, I did manage to make ten new garlands in time for Thanksgiving!

Tearful teddy won the boat race - a surprise. Everyone always lets him win everything because he cries otherwise. Frankly, I refuse to, I say that if you are willing to compete then you must be willing to loose. Frankly, though, it was so cold out that I was glad for it to finally end as all i wanted was to come back in and have a nice hot cup of cocoa!

I am still in a state of shock over the school Christmas play - I did NOT get a part! I cannot believe that they would give parts to some of the bit players that they did and not give ME, a seasoned actor and director, a single piece!! If it was not for the fact that Bubbles got a part I would boycott the whole thing! I am still tempted to, but I don't want to hurt his feelings. They are doing peter pan and he is playing one of the Indians. I thought that I would be a wonderful Captain Hook, but Noooooooo... The Drama teacher promised me that if anything happens to Chartle the bear playing Captain hook - what a dumb name) then she will think about me! Hmmmmmm.....

Acorn is still playing the violin, and even worse, Little Tweet ahs decided to learn the flute, so now the make horrible noises together! Little tweet plays a very nice guitar, so why push it? I am going to invest in ear plugs!

As you might have noticed, thanksgiving will be here soon. Andy has hinted around several times to doggie that we should combine the two house dinners, but doggie has flat out refused. He said that the bears next door are just too picky and that we are having a normal dinner this year. I guess Andy is trying to get out of being the cook for them, and has gone insane and is feeding them all hotdogs! he is making them a different way each night, and he is threatening that unless someone else starts coking that he will keep it up. So far they are on their tenth hot dog variety. Bubbles comes over here and eats sometimes, but doggie said that if everyone else starts doing it too, then he will have to throw them all out as he only cooks for the bears that live here.

It has been ridiculously cold here lately. if it is going to be cold then we should at least get some snow. but we have no snow and no sun and so it is just bleak, miserable November weather.

Sir laugh-a-Lot is trying to come up a comedy routine of his own to compete with Cluckers and Clyde. The only problem is he is so busy laughing at his own jokes that he barely finishes them where anyone can understand them! This place is full of loonies!

Maria - my arch nemesis - is already booking days for her Christmas workshops - but I have beat her to one - ha! I am having a Christmas ornament workshop the first week in December! She was quite surprised; and then she just shrugged and said she'd do a wrapping paper one the next week! Arghghghghghghg!!!!!

Oh! my movie reviews!! You know, I should add a section for my movie reviews... hmmmm... interesting thought.. Anyway, I saw some movies this week! Charlie and the Chocolate factory was much better then I thought it would be, in fact i liked it quite a bit! Batman begins was okay. It starts out really slow and you have almost given up on anything happening that you care about before it finally picks up - but there is no amazing super villain, just Qui-gon Jin playing an evil guy, and I did not like the guy playing batman, he was alright, but I liked the Michael Keaton and Val Kilner ones better. Also saw star wars III - and that was worth it! It was almost as good as the original three - finally! It has only taken George Lucas three movies to begin to capture the pure genius of the first ones he made. I think it is because clones and phantom menace have too much Hollywood in them - too busy worrying about special effects. I highly recommend it - and if you have not seen it yet then you must run out and rent it! Star Wars is an American institution and any red-blooded American will want to be a part of it! "Luke, I am your father!! Hoop-per". Well, that is all about everything going on here, so I will end this and get my homework done so I can enjoy a peaceful weekend!

Till next time,
O
