Well, all the holidays are over - except for Valentines Day - but what kind of a holiday is that? Hearts, flowers and lovey-dovey-ness does not make a holiday in my opinion. Who was St. Valentine anyway? And why do we celebrate his day by being shower in doilies?

The evil Harrys have caused quite a stir. The entire school groaned in horror to see them. And, in fact, they got quite rude about it. Bubbles go into a scrap with a kid who said his mommy was crazy for making more of them. Bubbles, of course, defended his mommy, and there was quite an altercation. I finally had to wade through it and do some squashing to save Bubbles - which made me a bit sore because of coarse by defending Bubbles, I am defending his mommy, and ergo I am defending the evil biting Harrys! I hate to think of myself defending Harrys! Especially Harrys such as these! They bite everyone - including me! I had to get very fierce with them to make them stop. Bitey Harry (who lives with Bubbles) has been biting him so much that finally his mommy intervened and threatened him. This did very little, so The-Short-One finally bit Bitey Harry back, and since then he has been behaving.

I enjoyed my Christmas vacation very much, Bubbles and I spent a lot of time playing Old MacDonald's farm and wishing we could go sledding. We have still had no snow - not a flake! It is mid-January, and I think it is sad to have not had any snow by now. We have had a lot of wind lately that is reminiscent of March - but no winter weather as of yet! I just can not understand it this year!

Our New Years Eve party was quite entertaining. We went outside at midnight and shot off fireworks. Well, this giant stray cat came along and stole our firecrackers and ran off with them (they were not lit, of course). So Ruby had to lasso the cat to get them back, ad then she showed off by riding it around for a while. Needless to say the evil alien did not like this, and he finally mauled her fairly good. But she survived and we got our fireworks back so it ended up for the best. I have warned everyone about the alien menace - but few people listen.

We had an indoor picnic last weekend over at the Iowa bears house. It was quite nice, though we had hot dogs - as usual.. We tried to have a campout, but it is very hard to put up a tent indoors, as you can not put tent pegs into the floor, so things got a bit complicated, but it was fun anyway.

We will be taking a school trip in March to go see Hot air balloons. We will be going to Okalahoma, so I am quite excited, as I have never been there. It will be a two-day trip, which means we will be staying over night at camping place that has cabins with bunk beds in it, and then we will be coming back the next day. The teacher said we might get to ride in one if we are good and don't cause trouble, but with Booy and Harry's and hot stuff all going, not to mention the other bad bears not related to me in any way I am thinking our chances are pretty slim!

The-Short-One did clean the house - once. Since then she has lain around groaning and moaning that she is sick and cannot possibly do anything - bah! I find it all to be a convenient excuse! She sits on the computer all day sneezing and coughing and blowing her nose, but I am sure she could clean if she really wanted to!
