Greetings all - I suppose I should say happy Valentines day - if I am being forced to. I believe that holiday should be outlawed! Of course, I do enjoy the pink and red color scheme, but all of the rest of it is rather disturbing!

Bitey Harry - who lives with bubbles - has not been behaving one again. He beat up bubbles, frosty and the Frog... oh what is his name? They are always getting new bears over there! Anyway, Bitey Harry has gotten quite ferocious, and I do believe that I am going to have to teach him a lesson very soon! I, for one, am not scared of his sharp little teeth. They are far too small to worry me, but as Bubbles is small they do worry him a great deal. As I said, I think it is time for me to do something about this!

I am pretty sure that whatever was winter is now over. It as been far too warm all month - and all last month. We did have one cold week in early December, and I think that is going to be it for this year. So much for sledding! I am going to work on a sled that has wheels I think - since I can't buy one! Hrmph!

There is, of course, another horrible valentines party happening again this year. Just like last year they are planning on it being school wide, and on making us dance - blech! It would not be so bad if they would let me handle the decorations, but since I am class president they said I had more important things to do - but they have not told me what!! So, the gym is going to have second-rate decorations while I sit around and twiddle my paws! It is quite disconcerting, let me tell you! I really think they need to play to the strengths of individuals rather than just passing around jobs randomly! Some girl name Poria is in charge of the decorations - she's an elephant from some other class. Oh well, if they want a badly decorated gym that is their problem!

The Valentine horror gets worse, as the Iowa girls have again joined forces with our girls and are concocting some monstrosity to make us all miserable - complete with crepe paper and heart shaped confetti. They are not planning on having the costume contests this year - which is a shame. Bubbles and I did such a good job on our costumes last year! There is going to be a bunch of squishy gooey games and such though - blech!

Things have begun to get weird on the alien front. To begin with, The-Short-One's dad has lost another cat - and he says there is a third which may be "gone" by Monday as well. i think they are going back to their mother-ship and am quite concerned about this. Our Aliens have also been odd - they have all gotten snuggly to te point of being abnormal. You can't sit still for five minutes without one of them wallowing you, covering you in cat hair and rubbing their cold noses in your face! The evil alien general Muffins has lost some weight I believe - but it may be a direct result of her disagreements with the Intelligence Officer Nermal. I am sure it WAS nermal, though there is no proof WHO it was. Either way, either Nermal or the queen Shelob attacked Muffins and chewed the back of her head! It was quite a mess - Charlie had to put cream on it and all - it is finally healed, but the cat is looking scrawny. I mean, of course I don't care, I just don't want that alien returning to the mother ship and trying to blame me for her skinniness!

Other than that things have been fairly calm around here. The musical instrument craze has ended so it has definitely gotten quieter. it is only a matter of time though before some new and annoying fad picks up *sigh*.

Well, I am going to go, I have to get the date set for my Valentine workshop before Maria does!
