November 16 - December 3 2006

Winter greetings friends - and winter it FINALLY is! yes, we, here in southern Missouri, finally got SNOW! Can you believe it?!?! SNOW!!

But before I get into that I will first tell you the site news! I have added Three new Brush Sets for Paint Shop Pro: Hogwarts, HIM and Tree Grunge, all free of course. Also I have uploaded Thirty-one new contact boxes for you MySpace user. There are some in every category except for Harry Potter. Sorry to you Hogwarts fans, but nothing struck my fancy in that area. Of course, there are tons of other free downloads in my extras section, so even if these don’t strike your fancy be sure and take a look anyway!

I will also warn you that The-Short-One has completely flipped! That's right, though I know she was pretty crazy before, but now she's lost it completely. She's on some board worshipping that band she loves, HIM I believe they are called, and evidently someone in it's grown a mustache... Anyway, they have made a whole website devoted to WHY this guy needs to shave! I'm really not joking. It's at http://www.freewebs.com/villepleaseshave, so if you feel like a laugh go look at it. It's actually quite entertaining - and even MORE entertaining is the fact that The-Short-One is not alone in this! Nope! there are like four or so other females involved too! I tell you, what is this world coming to?!?!

Now, onto MY news! First of all, Thanksgiving was an unmitigated disaster! Doggy burned the first turkey - and when I say burned I mean BURNED. Flame were shooting out of the oven - that's how bad it was, so we ended up not getting to have Thanksgiving until Sunday, which is when the people around here had it too, so that kind of worked out okay. But things didn’t go a lot better Sunday. The turkey was all right, but somehow the sweet potatoes ended up melting - let me rephrase that. The marshmallows melted and so they were left swimming in a sea of sticky goop. The pie crust was so hard it took a knife to cut through it, the whip cream set out too long and turned to soup, the noodles were undercooked and the rolls were scorched black. The only things edible were the turkey and the glazed carrots - even the mashed potatoes tasted funny - kind of sweet... I swear someone put sugar in them! And besides that all anyone did was fight the entire time until I was ready to pull my little piggy ears off of my head! I hope Christmas is better!

But on December 1st we got something wonderful - snow! Yes, inches and inches of - it's so deep Edgar and Moos were nearly lost, in fact! First it rained for a day and then it snowed and sleeted, so everything not buried under snow is covered in the loveliest ice. The whole world looked like it was made of glass, it was so pretty! We've been sledding, building snow bears and having snowball fights! It’s been such a lovely time! Almost like it used to be in Iowa, actually. That's one of the things I miss about Iowa, the snow. That and the cornfields! how can you have a proper Halloween without a creepy cornfield around somewhere? Though I admit when Charlie was growing up we didn’t have one...

Speaking of Charlie he is diligently working on adding music to those videos I mad a couple years ago of Bubbles and myself. Once he's finished I am going to use The-Short-One's YouTube account and upload them, then make a page for them here - won’t that be neat!?! He has one done... and then there are two already uploaded that are so short that music seemed silly. But he has four more to go I think and then they'll be done. So, you can look forward to them in a couple of weeks. I have been editing the videos myself, of course. I'd add the music too, but The-Short-One doesn’t have the program on her computer, it's only on Charlie's laptop. besides, it makes him happy to feel useful, I think!

Christmas is coming up, if no one has noticed, and we are going to be decorating the house tomorrow - so they say. We'll see if it actually happens or not. Personally, I can’t wait! Nothing better than listening to Conway Twitty's Christmas album while drinking cocoa and hanging tinsel everywhere! Yippee! Now if only everyone else shared my enthusiasm...

Speaking of Christmas I have begun my letter to Santa already, as well as my wish list. This year I am printing out my Wish List and distributing it to all of my friends so that I make sure and get something I want! I know bubbles will do a fine job, but sometimes the other bears get me strange things. The sock warmer was the oddest. Not only do I NOT wear socks, but I only got ONE. But, I use it to warm my stocking hat, so I suppose it was not as odd as one would think. Okay, yes it was, I'm just a practical piggy and managed to come up with a use for it! Anyway, I have also started my Christmas shopping as well - though I won’t say what I got anyone for fear of someone reading this! But rest assured they are quality items I would be happy to receive!

I am still a little bit upset at our newest substitute teacher Mr. Growser (yes, Miss friendly is still absent since the museum incident). You see, Mr. Growser decided that we should each take a piece of paper and write our names on top then pass them around the room and each person had to write one thing you do well and one thing you should do to improve yourself. Am I the only one who can see what a BAD idea this is!?!? I tried to be as nice as possible, but given the chance to give my opinion... well, it was very hard. Then I finally got my paper back and it was clear that NO ONE else tried to be nice! The most popular thing was for me to "quit being so bossy" followed closely by "quit being selfish" and a close third was "You're too egotistical" HRMPH!! I am NOT egotistical, selfish OR bossy! So, I am a brilliant piggy and I know it! What's wrong with that!?! And I only tell others what to do because otherwise they'd either be lost or else mess it up completely! I'm only trying to help them! Hopefully Mr. Growser doesn’t come up with any more brilliant ideas or I may be forced to give him a piece of my mind!

Other than that I have been trying to avoid Penelope the skunk. She's in another class, but suddenly she's taken a shine to me and no matter what i do she turns up there! ye gads! I am being chased by a girl! can you imagine the horror! I don’t know what she wants, but I wish she'd go away! She is the most annoying at lunch when she insists on sitting with Bubbles and I and then at recess when she hangs around batting her eyes at us. Bubbles has suggested I should just ASK her what she wants, but personally I am hoping she will leave!

Well, I think that about wraps it up. Going to spell check this and then upload!

Have a Merry Christmas!
O
