April 1 - 23 2007

Hello dear friends! I am sitting here typing as quickly as possible while The-Short-One and The-Slobby-Brother-Like-Person are gone. I don’t know where they are, they're doing something with ducks and people and electric shocks... Who knows.

It's storming rather effectively outside at the moment, raining rather hard, and it's spoiled our plans, which is why I have time to dash this off quickly. I SHOULD have updated two weeks ago, and I TOLD The-Short-One I needed to - in fact I even hand wrote out an entry for her to type for me, but she never did. >sigh<. In case you don’t know my poor Piggy shoulder is acting up again, and whereas I did manage to make some lovely things, the typing hurt it. But i am going to suffer through because if you want something done best to do it yourself!

Now, on to what I've added! First off, there are five new MySpace layouts for you to use. There's a HIM on I made for The-Short-One that she didn't use! One i made for Charlie, and some I made for some of The-Short-One's friends! I also added 36 NEW contact boxes AND, through a miracle of modern engineering 27 recovered ones! Yes, when I say recovered I mean those boxes that I lost when the site and the hard drive both went down simultaneously - I'll elaborate later. Oh! And I want to mention as well that in the Paint Shop Pro Section I have also added Ten new brushes and seven new picture tubes! All of these are free for you to download and use anywhere you want, so check these out!! The brushes include a large set that took me two days to make - 38 500x500px brushes of Alchemy Circles from the Fullmetal Alchemist series! Okay, so you're not familiar with it? That's okay, they just look really cool anyway and make some nifty backgrounds!

As for the Modern Miracle, you may recall that The-Short-One's hard drive died - meaning MY hard drive died as well and all of the stuff that she'd never bothered to back up was lost - namely two entries, some contact boxes, that sort of thing. Oh yeah, she lost some documents and artwork and such, blah, blah. Anyway, so Charlie was fixing a computer for some guy he knows from work, I dunno who, and trying to install a hard drive into it. Well, all it did was making clicking noise, so I mentioned that this was what The-Short-One's had done when it died, so, Charlie hooked her old one up (no, nothing ever gets thrown away here!) to test and see if it was indeed the same noise and lo and behold - the hard drive worked! Yes! It opened up her desktop complete with the picture of old what's-his-name form the band. Needless to say everything that had been lost has now been recovered again except for a few miscellaneous documents that it couldn’t seem to read right, I believe they were song lyrics she'd downloaded, I don’t know! Anyway, so all my lost things have been returned! how wonderful is that?!?! It appears that no one noticed that I didn’t participate in the Easter activities. Maria and Spotty died piles of eggs to use as place cards and they even had flowers on the table! All anyone could say was how lovely everything looked - bah! It would have looked MUCH better if I’d done it!! Even Bubbles agreed to that! But we had an Easter egg hunt, of course, and then dinner and then Easter the pig had an Easter Concert, as she so creatively called it- and no one even asked me to participate, let alone asked my advice on anything! Needless to say I was seeing red - and it wasn’t just hot Stuff and his terrible rendition of bicycle built for two either! I finally cornered a bunch of them and demanded to know why no one had noticed I wasn’t doing anything, and Sonnet told me that they hadn’t wanted to bother me with it! Ha! I bet Maria talked them into not asking me! That little white bear and I are going to have some words very, very soon! I can jus feel it!

A superbly strange thing did happen last week, though. We woke in the morning to ... SNOW! That’s right, there was snow falling! it was So weird! I haven't seen snow in April since we moved here form Iowa! Of course we ran out and played in it and built some tiny snow bears - it wasn’t a LOT of snow after all. But it didn’t last long and was melted off in a couple of hours. Still, it was a nice change!

But, because of the snow and the cold snap the plants around here aren’t doing well, everything is a funny yellowy-green color and most of the flowers died off too. I am told this is all because the vegetation froze and then has thawed, or so Timothy bear says. I suppose he should know as old as he is! He was probably around during the ice age I think!

I have other news, but it's all of a trivial nature and this is growing quite long so I will end. I am going to try to scan off a page of the Super Pig and Wonder Bear book, but I have been having trouble with the scanner so we will see!

TTFN!
O
And here is page one of volume three!
