April 24 - August 5 2007

Greetings my friends! So much has happened and where have I been? Well, well, THAT is a long, long, long story. I will start with May - the computer died - well the hard drive that is. It started with a warning flashed up on the screen stating that the C: drive was going to die at any moment and to back everything up, then it died. I was without a computer until recently and then I had a very nasty flu that I got from the-Short-one that i believe is really a biological weapon brought to earth by the aliens in their efforts to overthrow us. But, I have a computer again and I am healthy once more as well, so I suppose all is well that ends well, huh? Though I am sure I was sorely missed here and I have to do google myself to see if I’ve lost my top spot during my months of absence!

I will try to sum up everything that has happened, but first go check out the new Glitter Images I’ve made. They are free for you to use anywhere, of course!

Well, school is out, of course. Though it is getting ready to start again at the end of the month. We spent the first month of summer with it pouring rain, but since the fourth of July we have had very little. I don’t know, I think I liked the rain, at least it was a break from this heat. The-Short-One is trying to melt us all by running no air conditioner except while they sleep (which is at the oddest times!) so the whole place is quite, quite warm. I have beads of sweat on my piggy forehead as I type this, in fact.

My piggy shoulder has been much better lately, though I wish I could say the same for Booy, who has been his usual bad self. Just last weekend we had a Teddy Bears Pic-nic (original name, huh?) hosted mainly by the girls and they held a beauty contest. of course, Booy entered being bad - wearing a bikini and a blonde wig - but the joke was on him because he won. Now everyone is telling him what a lovely, lovely bear he is and making kissy faces at him. Serves him right, if you ask me!

Bubbles and I are supposedly still working on our comic book but I don’t know. Mainly I am working on it and he is saying he'll get to it soon. I don; think he ever will. he keeps saying he is too busy too busy, but he is the one who keeps joining new clubs and things t keep himself so busy!

The new harry Potter Book - Deathly hallows - came out recently, as many of you may know. Of course, The-Short-one got it and I have read it. Hm. I was satisfied with a lot of it and annoyed with a lot more of it. My complete opinions can be found here. And for some real fun go take a look at the predictions I made after reading half Blood prince. It's kind of fun to see what I was right on and wrong on.

Now that that is done let me think. Fourth of July was fairly boring - no one got blown up or even caught on fire. But part of it was because we had very bog rainclouds hanging over us the whole time so we were in a bit of a hurry and couldn’t afford the time for calamities for fear of a storm starting and soaking the fire works.

With the newly working computer I have gotten some new programs - the new word and Paint Shop pro XI. I like the new word better, though I DO miss clipit - you know the paper clip assistant? He is strangely and oddly missing! There is even a thing in the help menu stating that office assistants are no longer necessary, but they seem to not understand that some of us LIKED clipit! I have made .gif to show my love for clipit and how much I miss him. I will put it at the end of this - feel free to use it to promote our cause - aka saving clipit!

As for Pain shop pro XI I wasn’t sure about it at first, but it does have some photo editing additions that are nice. My main grip is that since corel bought it out they are turning it into a photo program more than an art program! But I suppose JASC really had most of the things you’d need for art down already. So long as Corel doesn’t take anything out I think it will be okay.

I have also had the chance to try Photoshop CS2 lately and I have to say I didn’t care for it. It was so... strange. I didn’t see that it had anything in it that PSP doesn’t have, in fact even though its by corel i thought psp had better effects and filters. I did like the gradients in PS though - the grabbing the line and dragging it for your gradient direction. But I can do that in PSP too, so...

Hmm, what else? Frankly, it has been so long that I can’t possibly remember everything that i have to say! yeesh! In that case I guess I will just close this thin all together! Hopefully I'll be back sooner than three months!

TTFN!
O
