Ahhhh, It is great to be back. You will never guess where I have been. I have been in Iowa helping Bubbles and his family move, and oh was it HOT! The new house's air-conditioning doesn't work and I don't think I have ever worked so hard in my little life.
We started out packing at their old house and then Charlie and the Slobby-Brother-Like-Person (who I have heard has finally gotten his OWN house) went and got a BIG truck to pack everything in. The Slobby-Brother-Like-Person had a strange female friend there who was just WEIRD! She was CRAZY, but then who else would someone like him hang around with? Anyways we all loaded the truck - though I mostly had to direct because they needed someone to be in charge, what with the mess they were making of everything. Before the truck was loaded I, Booy, Bubbles, Andy, Mouse, Tommy Toad and Edgar's twin brother Edgar II (which looks just like Edgar), The-Short-One and her mother all went to the new house so we could be there to supervise when the truck arrived. Poor Charlie worked very hard, but The-Short-One didn't do very much at all. After the Truck got to the new house Charlie had to leave because he had to get back to Missouri in time to go to work. I think that The-Short-One works him too hard, she never lets him have a day off. Poor Charlie.
The next day Slobby-Brother-Like-Person, The-Short-One and their mother unloaded the truck, and they got it done in one day, unlike when he helped unload our big truck when we moved to Missouri - that took him three days! We worked very hard after that until someone decided we were in the road and put us in the recycle bin. Some of my friends were afraid we'd be recycled, but of course I wasn't. We ended up pretending it was a boat and playing pirates, it was a lot of fun.
Finally we had to go home and though I was glad to get back here where the air-conditioning works I was sad to leave behind little Bubbles! He is such a good friend! I wish he could come and visit me! Till next time, O
