Championship to be Held This Month
By Willie
The baseball Household Championship is going to be held the third weekend of this month!
A trophy has been found and is currently residing in Peanuts bedroom until the winner is determined. Who's bedroom will it live in after that? My guess is either Clownie's or Orange Ducky's, but Andy could still pull it off by winning two more games.
Will The Pigs or The Bears see the Championship game? Sure they will : from the stands! With three wins each there is no way they could take the trophy, even if they were to win two more games each as the other teams have between seven to nine wins each.
I would like to say now, though, that it has been a great season and that all the teams did an excellent job, no matter who wins the championship!

Alien Update
By Oinkers
My friends, and fellow earthlings, the alien menace is still with us.
Many are mistakenly under the impression that with the removal of Blinky from the house that the alien threat has been lessened, but it has been increased! Who will trim this alien's whiskers now? Who will monitor her movements?
The aliens here have not been idle. In the last week both the alien queen and her evil intelligence officer have escaped at separate times and were both gone for quite awhile. What are they doing? They are consorting with the black cats outside and delivering evil messages that might mean our destruction!
What can we do? We must all stay vigilant. We must continue to trim the whiskers of the remaining aliens and we must insure they do not talk to their outdoor cohorts - no matter what the cost. Be brave friends and we will beat them yet!

Milestone Reached
This is The Penguin Post's 50th issue! What an exng month!
The Penguin Post would like to thank everyone for their article submissions, Editorials, Puzzles, Contest Participation, Advertising and of course their ideas that everyone has been so willing to share! Also a big thank you to everyone for reading this humble little publication, without you there would never have been a fiftieth issue!
I, Edgar, would also like to thank Boo Boo and Willie who have been so willing to help with this paper, putting their own paper "The Teddy Express" on hold while they are staying here. These two journalists have contributed to this Milestone as much as anyone else has and they deserve a special thanks for their work and sacrifice.
Again, thanks to everyone, and here's hoping The Penguin post enjoys another 50 issues!

New friends
By Boo Boo
Last month saw the arrival of two new friends into our midst: Sebastian and Ruby.
Both had been traveling with the carnival before they were brought here to live. Sebastian is a bit of a magician, and since Randolf has volunteered to be his assistant is currently working on a magic show.
Ruby, on the other hand is a cowgirl and she and Butterscotch have become best friends. Ruby has a peculiar habit of riding cats and is trying to organize a cat rodeo, whether she will succeed or not remains to be seen.
Both say they have felt very welcome here and would like to thank everyone for being so friendly.

Circus Success
By Boo Boo
This year's Circus must be viewed as an overall success despite the antics of certain bad bears.
The new acts were highly interesting and entertaining, especially when mixed with our old favorites like Roary's lion act and Pongo's Banana Juggling, not to mention Ellie's elephant tricks! New this year was Tommy Toad's trick driving, a wrestling exhibition, a rap routine, Ballet Exhibition and Slimy's famous high-diving.
the one spot on the entire proceedings came in the next to the last act as Zeke and Jesse took the floor. They began by stealing Hug-Me's pistol and shooting a hole in the tent. When this was subdued by Bioloski, Zeke proceeded to distract the audience with an odd little dance while Jesse brought out the flaming hoop from Roary's act. Apparently there was a disagreement as to who would jump through this and in the argument that proceeded the hoop was knocked over and both evil doers singed slightly.
Besides this blotch, there were no serious injuries, the cotton candy machine was fixed and it was an entertaining afternoon, so it was a success!

Variety Show To Be held
A variety show will be held the last weekend of this month.
Acts that have already signed up include Jeremy with a poetry reading, Spud and Socks with a new Rap Routine, Cuddles and Barbie's Ballet dance and The Fuzzy Animal to name a few.
If you are interested in participating see either Oinkers or Peanuts, who are in charge of organizing the event. Though there is some controversy as to whether you must audition or not as Oinkers has told me yes and Peanuts has said no.
Either way, hope to see everyone there!
